Troon Golf Enters Tucson
Troon Golf management is well known not just in Arizona, but also around the world for the excellent courses they manage. Troon Golf manages courses in 31 of the States across the nation, as well as in 26 different countries throughout the world. Previously known in Arizona for managing courses mostly around the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale areas, Troon has now expanded into Tucson territory. The Gallery Golf Club in Marana, Arizona — just outside Tucson — is the proud new addition to the Troon family.
The Gallery Golf Club is located on the beautiful Dove Mountain in Marana, located in the greater Tucson area in Southern Arizona. Tucson is known as one of the sunniest places in the country, with sunshine more than 350 days out of the year — perfect golfing weather. Tucson is a growing area of about 1,000,000 people, providing enough to do while not being large enough to compromise quiet time or privacy. An area with abundant outdoor and arts activities, there is plenty to do inside and outside of the golf club.
The Gallery boasts not one, but two, excellent courses! The North Course and the South Course are both highly acclaimed, making The Gallery at Dove Mountain a rare and excellent club for golf course enthusiasts.
• The North Course was designed by John Fought and British Open Champion / 2006 Ryder Cup Captain Tom Lehman. Golf Digest named this course #1 in Southwest Arizona. Golfweek also included the North Course in its Top 100 Modern Courses.
• The South Course was included in Golf Digest’s 100 Best courses, making The Gallery an unparalleled choice. John Fought also designed this course, differing the terrain and architectural scheme from The North Course. This South Course hosted the WGC Accenture Match Play Championships in both 2007 and 2008.
