This beautiful custom built home is the creation of accomplished writer Laura Chester. Ms. Chester worked with several architects and incorporated many of the ideas and treasures she and her beloved husband found throughout their travels to various parts of the world.

Ms. Chester has authored 24 books and was inspired to build “Durazno” after many years of visiting the area and while enjoying the pleasures of riding the back country. Some of the ideas of her best writings were born here at her personal writer’s retreat.
