The Stone Canyon Club

Located in the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains, just northwest of Tucson, the Stone Canyon Club is an incredible private residential golf community that boasts over 1,400 acres of high desert foliage and fauna. The Stone Canyon Club course consistently ranks among the Top 100 Courses in the United States. The Stone Canyon golf course is one of the most breath-taking desert courses in the world. A combination of top quality homes on amazing home sites with incredible desert, mountain, and golf course views coupled with a luxurious and modern Health & Fitness Facility and the most exclusive golf course in Southern Arizona makes the Stone Canyon Club a must see for the estate quality home buyer.  The gorgeous custom homes set on sites of one to five acres, are specifically designed to take advantage of the beautiful views.  These luxury homes range in size from 2,600 to over 6,000 square feet and most are from 1 to 5 million dollars.  This exclusive community is truly one of the most beautiful places to live in Arizona.

The Clubhouse

The new Tuscan style clubhouse with indoor and outdoor dining, locker rooms, small group activity rooms and full service golf shop will begin construction in the fall of 2013.  The architect asked the membership for input on what was important to them in a clubhouse and incorporated their ideas in the fabulous design of this state of the art facility that combines beautiful form with practical function.  The modern fitness center with separate cardio and weight rooms is in a nearby separate facility and includes an incredibly peaceful setting for the pool and hot tub with gorgeous views and casual poolside dining for lunch.  The fully refundable initiation fee was recently lowered to $20,000, making it the best deal on a golf club of this quality in the country.

Activities

Hiking and biking in the 1200 acres of Stone Canyon is simply spectacular.  The boulders and saguaros of the Tortolita Mountains make for one of the most unusual and beautiful landscapes in the world.  The contrast of the perfectly manicured fairways and greens against the Sonoran Desert is magnificent.  The views of the 9,000 foot Santa Catalina Mountains that are just a few miles to the east are a treat, especially as the last warm light of day falls on their cliffs and valleys.

World Class Design

Jay Morrish, who designed the world-class golf course, has said that it has all the ingredients to make it the best golf course he has ever done. Morrish separated from the Nicklaus organization in the early ’80s and partnered with professional golfer Tom Weiskopf to design over 20 golf courses. The courses that they designed together include The Double Eagle Club, Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale TPC, Forest Highlands, TPC Las Colinas Sports Club, Shadow Glen, The Boulders, Tehama Golf Club, and Loch Lomond.
